On Date With the Smithereens by the Smithereens (duh) they have a song called Sick of Seattle. It came out in 1994, so I'm sure a lot of bands that already had a grungy sound, but didn't get the attention that Nirvana, etc. got were sick of Seattle.

I love Seattle.

Maybe you could do the same kind of post about Portland.... lot of great bands from there : The Decemberists, Laura Veirs, Scout Niblett, Mark Lanegan...
