I Dream Alone

Considering the Magnetic Fields penchant for self-descriptive album titles, the fuzzy reverb-soaked aesthetic of Distortion (out January 15) should come as no surprise really. Its almost lo-fi feel harkens back to Holiday and is a far cry from the shiny, polished pop of 2004's I. Out with the orchestra, in with the synths. Check out "I Dream Alone" one of the albums best offerings.
